It was the hot and dry summer months of the year 2010. A human drama was taking place due to drought, hunger and thirst. We could not remain silent and indifferent to this cry rising in Somalia.

Our president of the Association, Dr. Sadık Danışman, who went to the region with an official delegation to examine the mobilization and aid work, which began under the leadership of our state and government, witnessed people's distraught and difficult situations one-on-one. "Mothers were awaiting the death of their children, and children were waiting for their turn to die". There had to be something that could be done in the face of this scene.

The decision was made and in 2012 the 100-bed “Yardimeli Obstetrics and children's Hospital” was started. Although the allocation of space was somewhat difficult, in the end, as part of a protocol with the Somali Ministry of Health and other authorized agencies, the dump site was allocated, where the city's garbage was discarded. With thousands of trucks taking excavation and garbage, the ground was cleared. All of the project and engineering works were carried out in Turkey.

Yardimeli Somali Hospital, which was completed in 2016 and started to accept patients, continues its activities for the victim and oppressed people by providing equipment, service and quality.

The year is 2021. The foundations of the new hospital buildings and the campus of the University of Health Sciences were laid in the garden of the existing Yardimeli hospital with the participation of the delegation from Turkey and representatives of official institutions located in the area.
