Somali Yardimeli Hospital is signing new projects...

The new buildings of Yardimeli Hospital, which started operating in 2016 and provides medical services to the Somali people, and the foundations of the campus of the University of Health Sciences were realized in Mogadishu with the participation of representatives of the official

It was the hot and dry summer months of the year 2010. A human drama was taking place due to drought, hunger and thirst. We could not remain silent and indifferent to this cry rising in Somalia.

Our president of the Association, Dr. Sadık Danışman, who went to the region with an official delegation to examine the mobilization and aid work, which began under the leadership of our state and government, witnessed people's distraught and difficult situations one-on-one. "Mothers were awaiting the death of their children, and children were waiting for their turn to die". There had to be something that could be done in the face of this scene.

The decision was made and in 2012 the 100-bed “Yardimeli Obstetrics and children's Hospital” was started. Although the allocation of space was somewhat difficult, in the end, as part of a protocol with the Somali Ministry of Health and other authorized agencies, the dump site was allocated, where the city's garbage was discarded. With thousands of trucks taking excavation and garbage, the ground was cleared. All of the project and engineering works were carried out in Turkey.

Yardimeli Somali Hospital, which was completed in 2016 and started to accept patients, continues its activities for the victim and oppressed people by providing equipment, service and quality.

Best Wishes

The year is 2021. The foundations of the new hospital buildings and the campus of the University of Health Sciences were laid in the garden of the existing Yardimeli hospital with the participation of the delegation from Turkey and representatives of official institutions located in the area.

Attendants for the groundbreaking of the health campus:

Bahri Bulut, board member and General Manager of yardimeli Association from Turkey, Board member Salim Aydın and project engineers and architects, Mohamed Hussein Roble, Prime Minister Of The Federal Republic Of Somalia, Turkish ambassador in Somalia Mehmet Yılmaz, President Of The Association of Somali Scholars, Somali Education Minister Abdullahi Abukar HajiGovernor Of Mogadishu, Deputy Minister Of Health of Somalia, Red Crescent Somali delegation, THY Somalia coordinator, Yardimeli Somalia Coordinator and Officials of our somalian Partner Association MENHAL.

Along with the additional hospital building, the foundation of the University of Health Sciences building has been laid, which is one of the most basic investments for future generations. The students who will be raised here will make significant contributions to the future of Somalia and Africa.

President of our Association Dr. Sadık Danışman made statements for this beautiful service: "Praise be to Allah. How Somalia was then, how it is now. The hands of compassion of our state and nation perform great services in the lands of the oppressed and the victims. As someone who saw the situation in Somalia in 2010, I can see very clearly the work done and the change.

Yardimeli Association General Manager Bahri Bulut stated: “It is impossible not to see change and development in Somalia. Along with the Yardimeli Association, the work of other NGOs representing our country continues without interruption. This new hospital and University of Health Sciences is the best gift for future generations. First of all, I would like to thank our Ambassador, our TIKA coordinator and the Somali official authorities, the officials of the Menhal Foundation, with whom we work as partners, and the hospital employees.”
