This blessed Ramadan will be a little different this year.

After the two major earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, great duties and responsibilities fall upon all of us to heal the wounds, ease the pain and keep hope alive.

Of course, we cannot bring back those who lost their lives, the memories and the happy family days that once existed. But we can support them, give them morale, inspire hope and help build their future.

The Month of Ramadan: It is the time to remember. It is the time to renew brotherhood. Remember your brother, make your brother happy. Be a “Yardımeli” for your brother.

Do not forget your brother.

It is Ramadan: the month of mercy, the month of blessings; the month of goodness and the month of brotherhood. Let us increase the blessings of this month by sharing.

In the 11 provinces affected by the earthquake, this Ramadan will be a mobilization to heal the wounds. During these blessed days when mercy, blessings and sharing reach their peak, our brotherhood will grow stronger and acts of kindness will spread even further.

Earthquake regions are our priority

Preparations have been completed to reach our brothers and sisters living in the regions affected by the earthquakes and those who had to move to other cities, and to meet their needs as much as possible.

Iftar tables that will be set, food packages that will be prepared, food aid cards that will be distributed, holiday gifts and pocket money for our children, and monetary fitr and zakat will be delivered directly to our brothers and sisters.

We will be mobilized all across Anatolia

Since its establishment, Yardımeli has tried to stand by those in need. Through our branches, representatives and volunteers in all 81 provinces, we will act with a spirit of mobilization and experience together the peace of helping and the happiness of sharing.

Through iftar tables set in different regions we will share conversations; through food packages distributed for sahur and iftar we will share companionship; through fitr, charity and zakat delivered in cash we will bring happiness to homes; and with holiday clothes we aim to bring smiles to the faces of orphans.

Iftar tables will be set every day

In the earthquake regions, iftar tables and hot meal distributions will be organized daily and offered to our brothers and sisters. In areas where tent cities are located, hot meals will be distributed directly to the tents.

In centers where markets are open in the earthquake regions, food aid gift cards will be delivered to earthquake victims so they can personally purchase the items they need.

For earthquake-affected families who had to move to other cities, food aid boxes and food cards will be delivered directly by Yardımeli representatives.

What can I do…

In the earthquake regions where we have suffered great material and moral losses, each of us certainly has something we can do.

To heal the wounds of the earthquake, we set out with the strength of solidarity and cooperation. With the support and contributions of our donors, we will try to be a small remedy for the wounds of our brothers and sisters during Ramadan.
