The act of sacrifice, which is the most concrete expression of submission to Allah, was performed with great joy throughout the Islamic world. We also joined in this joy with the happiness of delivering the trusts entrusted to us by our donors to their rightful recipients. Our association, which has been organizing sacrificial campaigns regularly every year since its establishment, carried out this year’s organization in 20 different regions with the same enthusiasm and determination.

Preparations started months in advance…

The fact that all of our teams who took part in our domestic and international sacrifice organization returned safely to their homes and fulfilled this difficult yet honorable duty with great dedication increased our happiness even more.

In our sacrificial campaign, whose preparations began months in advance, the sacrificial animals carefully selected were slaughtered under the supervision of our teams according to Islamic procedures, with the names of the donors being read one by one.

The sacrificial shares were personally delivered by our teams to previously identified families in need, ensuring that the trusts given to us reached their rightful owners.

Our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake were not forgotten…

During this Eid al-Adha, which we experienced under the shadow of the February 6 earthquake that deeply shook our country, affected 11 provinces and caused the loss of thousands of lives, we did not leave our earthquake-affected brothers and sisters alone.

The sacrifices carried out in Hatay, Mardin, Kilis and Şanlıurfa were transported by cold-chain trucks to our brothers and sisters living in container and tent cities in Hatay center, Kırıkhan, İskenderun, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş center, Pazarcık, Mardin, Malatya and Diyarbakır.

More than the sacrificial shares themselves, the fact that they were remembered and received greetings from brothers and sisters they had never met before made the earthquake victims even happier. We will continue our work in the earthquake regions to heal wounds and bring hope to our brothers and sisters.

A “Bridge of Charity” to our Heartlands

Acting with the awareness and mission of building a “bridge of goodness” between brothers, Yardımeli Association once again used this Eid as an opportunity to carry the greetings and trusts of our donors to our heartlands.

With our sacrifice organization in Africa – in Chad, Kenya, Somalia, Nigeria and Tanzania – we celebrated Eid together with our brothers and sisters who wait for us every year.

We shared the Eid excitement in Afghanistan, the heart of Asia, which has suffered oppression and injustice for many years. We greeted our brothers and sisters in the Bangladesh–Arakan camps who migrated from Myanmar due to persecution. In Pakistan, the land of historical friendship and brotherhood, we embraced our brothers and sisters.

Gaza – the open-air prison…

Against Israel’s systematic oppression, our Palestinian brothers and sisters continue to stand firmly, as if protecting the honor of the Islamic world. Through our Gaza office, we continue our work to show that we always stand by our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

The sacrifices entrusted to us were slaughtered through our office and distributed to Palestinian families in need.

1 Sacrifice 1 Sapling

Our campaign “1 Sacrifice 1 Sapling”, which we launched in 2018, continues this year as well. On behalf of every donor who gives proxy, we plant saplings and give hope to the future. In our project implemented in Turkey and Africa, suitable sapling species and planting areas are determined together with authorized institutions.

*Within the scope of the 2023 sacrificial slaughter and distribution organization carried out by proxy, 11,380 sacrificial shares were slaughtered and delivered to their rightful recipients. Yardımeli teams also provided gifts to orphans and financial and in-kind aid to families in need together with the sacrificial shares.

This Eid al-Adha, we share the happiness of reaching 472,000 brothers and sisters with the support of our donors.
